Tendency for symmetry of the Chinese people in the search of healing harmony, and the opposite tendency, for asymmetry, of the Japanese people in the search of this world's flickering beauty - that's what often characteristically differs these two great cultures. Buildings, trees, bridges, canals & rocks - all of them here are perfectly united in symmetrical harmony.
