This, while it is a Lee Enfield, is not the one I had hoped for. This is rather a varient of the Lee Enfield called the "Jungle Carbine" That was used in WWII by british soldiers in the Pacific Theatre. I had hoped that the Lee Enfield had been the SMLE, or Short Magazine Lee Enfield, used by British and commonwelth soldiers in WWI. The Lee Enfield No 1 Mk III is the one that I was looking for. Anouther issue is the posing. The Aiming pose is unnatural and the stock is not held at the sholder. This is a very akward position fo hold a rifle, and would probably end with the user getting strained. The reloading action/ bolting action is also off, as one would normaly use the hand closer to the bolting mechanism, ie, the right hand, as opposed to the hand that is supporting the brunt of the wieght. The rifle's barrel, as shown, will be two heavy for the user to reload that way. Other than that, the texture is, as always supurb, and it had great promise. Signed, Sal.
