Plain = perfect, it took me hours of searching through decorated, messed with, messed up heels when what I really wanted was these shoes, just like this, with the ankle strap in straight black, so when I found them, I let out a gleeful squeel and snatched them up! So many thanks to my dear, for a great pair of shoes! and your time in making them :)
