I looked at every rose derived from Yumi's Rose...repeatedly! If you follow in my footsteps, you'll see that a lot of them are in shades that almost glow or are effectively a single color with little shading. In the end, I was attracted to this one because I love the color and it has areas of light and dark. When you Try On the rose in the dressing room, you'll begin by holding it behind your back for a long time, so long that it's easier to look at your back than wait for the rose to come around front. This rose looks quite different from the front and back. I recommend doing something that will make your hands move (LOL, for example) so that you can see the rose from many angles. Had I seen the front before buying it, I might not have bought it: The front of the rose has a big square that is MUCH lighter than the rest of the rose. I found it jarring when I first saw it and regretted having gotten this rose. However, I find it's growing on me. While there are other roses I like as well, I'm at the point where there isn't another I can point to as clearly preferable. But for that one panel, the rest of the rose is PERFECT.
